Once, long ago, there was a woman named Magobi. However, this was no ordinary woman, this was the woman that created the world. She created the world so beautifully and gracefully that the world became beautiful and graceful itself. However, she has long since retired to a relaxing cup of tea. Perhaps she is still there, sipping her tea…
Magobi is the creator of Earth and people. She is so powerful that she simply created a world on a whim. She is so self-confident that a mere insult can turn you into a toad. Not even a frog, just a toad. A lumpy, brown, unpleasant toad. However, she is so wise that not even all the knowledge in the world add up to hers.
The story begins on a small planet called Akaguroyama, where Magobi was quietly waiting for an idea to emerge from her ever-growing mind. Unfortunately, Magobi soon grew bored and decided to create a beautiful creature for Akaguroyama. So she rode her dragon Gogono through the universe. As she made her way through, she picked out all the beautiful things and placed them into a bag. The bag had soon filled, and Magobi was left with no choice but to make a utopia out of the beauties of the world.
She took all the dust from her bag and threw it in the air. She molded it together in a sphere, with peaceful valleys, and breath-taking mountains. The valleys flowed up and down for miles and miles. The mountains peaks reached up to her in thanks. Everything was simple, but everything was plain.
So Magobi decided to make plants with the comets. Elegant plants that sprung up and blossomed with colorful wildflowers. Tall trees that sprouted from the ground and kissed the clouds. And finally, rich fruit that hung from massive trees, glistening in the sun. Everything was wonderful.
But Magobi’s bag was still very heavy. So she emptied the bag onto the Earth. The stars took the shape of all the different animals. There were zebras, with stripes across their back, seemingly crossing into each other’s. The parrots were squaking revealing their bright feathers to the Sun, the Moon, and Magobi. Every creature was living harmoniously. But something was missing.
Magobi thought and thought for years while the animals frolicked around her. Magobi was very impatient, though, and decided to go home to her precious Akaguroyama. She called Gogono to her and prepared to leave when she realized that the bag was heavier than ever. No matter what she did, she could not lift it. But when she searched her bag, it was empty. She checked everything until she noticed it: a tiny blue star.
However, Magobi has grown very tired and simply throws the now light rock out of her bag. She figures that her mission is complete, that she has found what was missing. She leaves for Akaguroyama and is never seen again.
However, Magobi, however knowledgeable she may be, had made a huge mistake. The humans soon began chipping at the simple earth, making carvings and tools. The men cut down the tall trees, and eat all of the fruit. They hunted the animals, killings herd of zebras and flocks of parrots. The other ones become tools for hunting, or exploited for the humans’ amusement. Magobi was far away, completely oblivious to the torture caused by the humans, but Gogono can feel the planet’s pain through his veins. Magobi is long since missing, and Gogono is long since gone.
